All ornaments are individually hand blown and decorated.
All artwork is exclusive, original and drawn or painted by hand. Each image is then digitally enhanced and professionally printed as a decal (thin film). Next the decal is soaked in water to allow separation from the paper backing. Unlike machine printed ornaments,each decal is applied to the ornament by hand. It takes a lot of skill and patience to master the decal application. Prior to application, the decal transfer is wet, and very delicate. The decal transfer is thinner than paper and tears easily. Therefore, it cannot be stretched or pulled. Once the wet decal is applied to the ornament, it must dry for 24 hours. The final step is firing the decal at the proper temperature. The firing process is necessary to ensure the artwork becomes permanently affixed to the ornament.
Each 76mm ornament is presented in a white paper box. Note: These ornaments are larger but weigh less than the inside (reverse) painted designs. All artwork is commissioned and copyrighted by Rose M. Byrd.
